Book Fair Information:
The book fair will be the week of October 27-31 2014. This is a regular fair. There will be an online fair once I get that set up and our school will receive the benefits of your purchases from that as well as what is bought here at the school. We will probably have a parent night that Wednesday or Thursday, I will let you know once I have it better organized.
The profits from the book fair help us to build our collection and buy desperately needed technology like apps and iPads. So please make sure to try to support this very worthwhile fundraising event.
For our Kindergarten parents who have not experienced a book fair before, you may send in a check or cash in an envelope the scheduled day for your child to shop. If you send a check we will do our best to come as close to the check amount as possible and can send change home up to 5.00 in change. Or you can wait for your child to bring home a wish list made that day in class, but if you wait for the list, there is a potential for the items on the list to be sold out by the next day. Volunteers will work with your child to help them purchase things on their reading level, or you may include a note that says your child has free choice and then we will let them purchase anything they want.
You are welcome to come in to shop with your child during their scheduled time. Please DO NOT pull your child from class to come shopping at a different time. This is very disruptive not only to your own child, but also the other students in the room. Plus you would be coming in when my attention needs to be focused on another class of students and it is not fair to them, they will need my full attention.
If you can volunteer, let me know, I can use all the help I can get!! Set up will be that Friday October 24th after school, stop by and lend a hand if you can.
